The Serverius network: Low-latency through a mix of network providers

At Serverius you can create your own network set up or you can use the Serverius network. This redundant network consists of a combination of multiple transit providers, disconnected via separate fiber paths to the internet. This unique combination provides a truly reliable network service, the shortest and fastest routes to the global Internet.

Below you the transit providers that are part of the Serverius traffic mix. Each transit provider is minimally connected via 10Gbps and part of the 160Gbps backbone. Route preferences are not given, so you get always the shortest routes to other networks.

Free data-traffic for every client

Client who use private colocation get a free amount of data-traffic, connected to non-overbooked redundant Cisco core switches: 2x1Gbps (single rack) or 2x10Gbps (multiple racks). This traffic can be used as normal data traffic, or as L3 (BGP) ip-transit to build your own network.

Redundant Cisco hardware + fiber paths

The center of the Serverius network is our own datacenter. It is directly connected through dual (dark fiber) waves lengths to Amsterdam A (Nikhef) and Amsterdam B (Global Switch Amsterdam). Through our own MRV fiber infrastructure we fully connect to our 100% redundant Cisco routing environment. So if a connection to Amsterdam fails, the network will work seamlessly through another fiber routing and routing hardware via Amsterdam B.

Usage or announcement of PA, PI ipv4 and ipv6 addresses

Serverius Ripe member

Any amount of traffic comes along with a free block (PA) ip addresses you can use for yourself. These subnets (IP blocks) are undivided and completely separated from other Serverius clients. Each subnet thus has its own gateway, hardware and broadcast ip. All in all a safe and stable structure. If you do not own routing hardware do have your own (PI) ip addresses and you want to use those within our datacenter, we can announce your own PI ip addresses for you to the internet by the serverius routers. If desired, we can move your current PI ip addresses or ASN to our take over Lir membership. When it is technically possible, we will arrange it for you.

Port speeds and ip-transit

The serverius network offered customers 1000Mbps to 40.000Mbps port speeds. Metered and unmetered. If you have your own  (PI) ip range and you need them announced by some selected transit providers, you can contact our sales department. These will explain all configurable options.

Choose ipv6, stability and speed

Serverius is offering ipv4 and ipv6 in a “dual-stack” network environment. This way you can use ipv4 and ipv6 simultaneously. Because of redundant darkfibers and multiple 10Gbps transit + peering providers we use, we can provide true high-performance ipv4 and ipv6 Internet connectivity. This with the emphasis on maintaining stability and quality.

24/7 network management

All parts of the whole network are 24/7/365 monitored by a team of over 14 people. So not a few persons but a team of people that day and night take care about the network. These people are also ready to assist you with any configuration. A simple switch configuring or setting up and maintaining your total infrastructure.

A network without secrets

The ip transit of Serverius offers the best connection to the Internet. Proof is given on http://smokeping.serverius.eu and also http://speedtest.serverius.com so you can see it are not only nice words. As you can see the Serverius network belongs certainly among the best in Europe!
