Construction Phase 2 Serverius started.

Today, the building of the second phase of the Serverius datacenter started. By working closely with our customers, the continued growth over the past year, put the current server room now completely filled. We therefore thank all our customers and relationships for this successful year!

 

The new server room will include 122 new rack compartments (with its own door lock). Because the first current server room enjoyed a 100% uptime till now, the new phase will be constructed in line with the current phase 1. The only differences are that the new room is much larger and will provide also 1/3rd private racks and a “Private Cooling Alley” of 10 closed racks. This way we provide the same services + more for our existing and new customer.

The same supplier and integrator of phase 1 will also build this second data room. Because last year they also maintaining the data center, they know the datacenter like no other. This way our customers in phase 1 will will not bothered by the phase 2 building.
Serverius is pleased to announce that ICTroom Company will manage to the realization and maintenance of the datacenter again. There was of course a full periodic maintenance contract for the datacenter between Serverius and ICTroom, but also in the quote process ICTroom jumped out above the rest.

The entire construction will only take a few months. Normally it will take a year but now it is possible because emergency power, fire extinguishing, network infrastructure and security are all present from the previous phase. The first planning is that on February 1, 2012 racks can be used. The upcoming weeks we will publish on our website the current construction status and expected ussage date. You can still ask our sales department for rackspace quotes. Keep in mind that the new server racks can only offered from the early February 2012. So why ordering before that date?
